Production[]
The season was announced on December 31, 2013. Koror later revealed that there would be two tribes, one of returnees and one of people needing revival. The tribe names were revealed later with some of the twists.

Twists/Changes[]
- Returnees vs. Revivals- 4 returnees faced off against 4 people who were elimianted unfairly or deserved a second chance.
- No Escape- Players were not allowed to quit unless for personal reasons.
- Outcasts- Two players returned when the other voted them in.
- New Challenges - This seasons featured many new challenges.
- Numbers Tie Breaker - The Numbers Tie-Breaker was introduced in this season where one person that is not in the game selects a random number from 1-10. Then, the contestants must select a number. The contestant who's number is the closest to the number that the out of the game person selected is eliminated.

- This season is the longest in time matters, lasting around six hours.
- ATinyPanda was the only contestant not to be voted out or to receive a vote against him in this season, not counting final tribal council votes.
- Both original returnees from Fiji made it to the final 2 with no votes cast against them during the merge.
- They also were the only ones to vote for the winner in Fiji.
- This is the first season to have a player ejected from the game at the challenge site.
